
DMK President M K Stalin underwent a “minor surgical procedure” for removal of a cyst from his right thigh at the Apollo Hospitals here on Thursday. Stalin, who was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night was discharged on Thursday afternoon.
“Mr M.K. Stalin, DMK President, was admitted to Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road late last night. He underwent a minor surgical procedure for the removal of a cyst from his right thigh,” Apollo Hospitals said in a statement.
DMK principal secretary T R Baalu told DH that Stalin was admitted to the hospital late Wednesday night and he was discharged Thursday afternoon after doctors declared him fit.
“It was a minor procedure. He is fine and there is nothing to worry. He has returned home,” Baalu said. Besides family members and party senior leaders, MDMK chief Vaiko also visited Stalin at the hospital.
