Holding guilty of killing the one-month-old boy by throwing him from the terrace of a house at Marara village in Dhanaulti area, District and Sessions Judge Alok Verma yesterday awarded life imprisonment to Sumitra Devi.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 on her. Devi was upset with her husband Padam Singh for marrying another woman and to take revenge she killed the infant on November 16, 2009.
