Wrong vote will make kid Chaiwala or Chowkidar: Sidhu

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has taken a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Patry and urged the people to vote for the Congress.

He claims that "one wrong vote can make your children a Chaiwala, a Pakodawala or a Chowkidaar." He also goes on to say: "Better prevent and prepare, rather than repent and repair."

By doing so, he is referring to the BJP using the names they use to refer to themselves. Agitated by the tweet, the minister received backlash from BJP supporters a lot of whom had the Chowkidaar prefix on their twitter handles.

Sidhu is the Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, and Museums of the State of Punjab. He was also convicted of "culpable homicide" in a road rage incident back in 2006.
