The CCB sleuths arrested a post graduate student on the charge of transporting ganja inside the district jail and recovered 20 grams of ganja and a mobile phone.
On a tip-off, the police detained her and recovered the ganja which she had concealed in her dress, said the police.
The suspect, pursuing Journalism and Mass Communication, had planned to supply the banned substance to Mohammed Mustafa (22), an undertrial and rowdy sheeter.
He is involved in rowdy Charan’s murder in Vamanjoor.
The suspect came into contact with Mustafa while interning with a cable channel. A case has been registered at Barke police station.
The police are searching for the source who supplied the ganja to the suspect.
