 Inspired bowling performances from Suraj Kamat (3/22) and Ruchir Joshi (3/24) gave President’s XI an edge over Mysore Zone on day one of the two-day final in the under-19 KSCA inter-zonal cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

Batting first, Mysore Zone could only manage to score 109 runs all out in 43.3 overs, with key contributions coming from MC Gururaj (29) and Nandan Narayan (28).  In response, President’s XI rode on Devdutt Padikkal’s 63 to take score to 150 for the loss of five wickets in 53.2 overs, taking a lead of 41 runs.
