3 Kolar ZP members among 8 expelled from Congress

The Kolar District Congress Committee on Wednesday expelled eight members, including three ZP members, from the party on charges of anti-party activities.

DCC president K Chandrareddy has issued orders expelling from the party three ZP members - R Krishnappa (Aavani constituency), H N Prakash Ramchandra (Bairakuru) and N Nagamani (Padmaghatta).

Also, TP member A V Srinivas, APMC member Vivekananda, PLD Bank president Gangireddy, local leaders Manju and Srinath have been expelled for campaigning in favour of BJP candidate Muniswamy.

All eight expelled members were identified with former MLA Kothur Manjunath and had rebelled against coalition candidate K H Muniyappa.
