Last Updated 17 December 2018, 16:15 IST

The Bharatiya Janata Party began its three-day padayatra from Ramanagaram district to Bengaluru demanding complete waiver of all farm loans on Thursday.

MLAs M P Renukachrya, Kumar Bangarappa and leaders Tejaswini Gowda and M Rudresh led the padayatra.

They offered puja at Kengal Anjaneya temple at Channapatna and began the padayatra.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has failed to keep up his promise of farm loan waiver. Hence, the BJP has organised the padayatra demanding a complete farmer loan waiver, Kumar Bangarappa said.

"The BJP has waged a war against the coalition government which will soon collapse and B S Yeddyurappa will once again become chief minister," Renukacharya said.

The padayatra will reach Bengaluru on July 28 and there will be a rally at Freedom Park.

The BJP leaders will submit a memorandum to Kumaraswamy seeking complete farmer loan waiver
