<p>Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has said that the byelections in the state were not a battle against any individual but a test for the Congress-JD(S) alliance.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, the chief minister said that the bypolls would lay a foundation for “permanent alliance” between the two parties.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The results of byelection will prove that it is an alliance of development. We are confident of winning 25 to 26 seats in the Lok Sabha polls next year.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumaraswamy claimed that the state government was transparent in implementing loan waiver scheme. The process would have been set in motion if some people had not disrupted it, he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">JD(S)-Congress nominee Madhu Bangarappa filed nomination papers on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, former minister Kagodu<br />Thimmappa and MLA B K Sangamesh.</p>
