Coalition govt dead for the poor: BSY

Last Updated 25 February 2019, 19:18 IST

BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said on Monday that the coalition government was dead as far as the poor were concerned.

He was speaking after inaugurating the party's 'Modi Vijay Sankalp Yatre' in the city.

The former chief minister said the government had released funds neither for the farm loan waiver scheme nor for development works.

Yeddyurappa said ministers were to be found neither in their constituencies nor in the Vidhana Soudha. The government was not responding to the woes of the drought-hit, he added.

The BJP would win 22 Lok Sabha seats in the state and that he would not go home till this was achieved, Yeddyurappa said.

At present, there was no leader equal in charisma to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he added.
