Cong govt tapping our phones, say 3 BJP MPs

Three BJP MPs - Shobha Karandlaje, P C Mohan and G M Siddeshwar - on Wednesday accused the Congress government in the state of tapping their phones.

They filed complaints with the Lok Sabha Speaker, the Home Ministry and the state police chief.

“We have every reason to believe that the Karnataka government is misusing its position and tapping our mobile phones,” the MPs stated in their complaint, seeking action.

“Political situation is still fluid following a fractured mandate. The Congress government in Karnataka is taking advantage of this situation and has resorted to cheap tactics of tapping the telephones of BJP leaders,” they said.

Security sought

Shobha and Siddeshwara, a former Union minister, have also sought security.

“I also have a feeling that I am being stalked by unknown persons,” the BJP leader stated.
