`8.26 cr to develop temples in Chikmagalur

Govt has sanctioned Rs 10 crore to Sharada peeta

In 2009-10, a sum of Rs 50 lakh was released for the development of Gurudattatreya Bababudan Swamy Darga. Funds released to other centres are—Akka Nagalambika Gadduge in Tarikere (Rs 50 lakh), Rs 75 lakh to construct Yaga shale at Adishankaracharya Lakshminarasimha Peeta in Sringeri.

Other temples which received grants from the government include Maradibail Omkareshwara and Chowdeshwari Amma temple —Rs 1.80 lakh, Byaladal Kenchamma Temple—Rs 1.80 lakh, Devarahalli Hanumagiri Anjaneyaswamy Prathishtana—Rs 1.80 lakh, Bairapura Bhaireswara Temple—Rs 2.70 lakh, Masoor Junjappa temple—Rs 90,000, Manimakki Malleshwaraswamy temple—Rs 1.80 lakh, Kanakondanahalli Siddeshwaraswamy temple—Rs 1.35 lakh, Sathihalli Kalleshwaraswamy temple—Rs 1.35 lakh, Sanklapura Anajaneya Swamy Temple—Rs 1.35 lakh.

Rs 6.63 cr

In 2010-11, a sum of Rs 6.63 crore has been released for the development of temples in the district. This include—Santharavani Gurudattatreya Trust—Rs 3 lakh, Koppa Halebandigegadi Gayathrri Devi temple—Rs 3 lakh, Banashankari Amma temple—Rs 2 lakh, Modalagodu Bhhothanatheshwara temple—Rs 1.50 lakh, Balagadi Melbal road Durgaganapathi temple—Rs 5 lakh, Basaveshwara temple hall—Rs 2 lakh, Galikere Beeralingeshwara temple—Rs 2.50 lakh, Singatageri Kambala Rudraswamy temple—Rs 2lakh, Devanoor Lakshmikanthaswamy temple—Rs 3 lakh, Sanklapura Anjaneswamy temple—Rs 2 lakh, Udewada Anjaneyaswamy Temple—Rs 2 lakh.

Menasoor Basaveshwara Temple—Rs 5 lakh, Moodigere Devavrinda Prasannarameshwara Temple—Rs 25 lakh, Chowlahiriyur Someshwara hall—Rs 25 lakh, Mathavara Lakshmidevi Temple—Rs 3.50 lakh, Chowdeshwari temple—Rs 50,000, K R Pete Maramma and Boothappa temple—Rs 50 lakh, Doranalu Veerashaiva hall—Rs 20 lakh, Sringeri Sharada peeta—Rs 22.50 lakh, K Hosalli Gangabika Community hall—Rs 5 lakh, Nandi ennehole Verakta mutt—Rs 10 lakh.

Rs 3 cr to Rambhapuri

The sources in the Muzrai department said that adminsitrative approval has been given to release Rs 3 crore to Rambhapuri peeta in Balehonnur. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had promised to release the amount recently. A sum of Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned to undertake development work in Sharada peeta in Sringeri. The Peeta should send the work list to the government. A sum of Rs one crore has been sanctioned Rs Harihara Kshethra. A Lakshmivenkataramanaswamy temple which had submerged in the Bhadra backwater at N R Pura was in deplorable condition. The villagers had shifted the temple to Honnegudi. The government has released Rs 10 lakh to its renovation. The work is under progress, said the officials.
