The Ullal police have filed a case against the headmistress of Government Higher Primary School, in Ajjinadka in Kinya after she allegedly hit a child for failing to complete her homework.
A class four child was beaten by teacher Sharada. The child showed her father bruises all over her body, following which, the child was taken to a private hospital and neighbours informed the childline. Members of the childline visited the spot and asked the parents to file a complaint.
A case has been filed for mentally harassing children under sections of RTE Act 2009 and The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
