While returning to Kadur, their car got damaged in the middle of the road and the trio left the car and reached Kadur in a two-wheeler, said the police.

Rohan’s mother Kathyayini, who got anxious about her son’s failure to reach home, called his friends to know the whereabouts of her son. One of Rohan’s friends informed her that Rohan had left with the arrested minor. In the meantime, Kathyayini received a call from an unknown number demanding Rs 15 lakh to release her son.

Following the call, Katyayini filed a complaint with the police. Based on the clue, the police took Jeevan and Ashwin to custody, which unravelled the suspense behind the disappearance of Rohan.

Jeevan is the son of Zilla Panchayat former member B P Nagaraj and is studying civil engineering while Ashwin was all set to join an engineering college. The other minor boy was also studying II PU.
