SER connects Howrah to Mysore

South Eastern Railway has introduced train numbers 22817/22818 Howrah-Mysore-Howrah weekly super fast express with effect from February 19.

On the inaugural day it ran as a special train with no 02817 with tentative Howrah departure at 6.10 pm. In the return direction on February 22, train no 02818 ran on open path timings with tentative Mysore departure at 12.30 am (midnight). The regular run of this pair of trans will commence on February 24 from Howrah and on February 27 from Mysore station, said a press release from railways.

Train no 22817 Howrah-Mysore-Howrah weekly super fast express will depart Howrah at 4.10 pm on Fridays and arrive in Mysore at 5 am on Sundays.

In the return direction, train no 22818 Mysore-Howrah weekly super fast express will depart at Mysore at 12.30 am on Mondays and arrive at Howrah at 2.50 pm on Tuesdays.

Enroute, the train will depart Bangalore City at 3.30 am; Katpadi at 7.15 am; Renigunta at 10.25 am; Vijayawada at 5 pm: Rajahmundry at 7.12 pm; Vizag at 12.30 am; Vizianagaram at 1.40 am; Brahmapur at 4.45 am; Khurda Road at 7.20 am; Bhubaneswar at 7.45 am; Cuttack at 8.15 am; Bhadrak at 10.10 am; Balasore at 10.55 am and Kharagpur at 12.40 pm. The train has 18 coaches, consisting of one AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 10 second class sleeper and two general second class coaches.
