<p>Actor Sumalatha, wife of late actor-politician Ambareesh, said she would announce her final decision on contesting the general elections from Mandya constituency on March 18.</p>.<p>Speaking to reporters after visiting Kaveri Ranganathaswamy temple at Kadaballiin the taluk and seeking people’s opinion, she said, “Minister D K Shivakumar spoke to me about elections. He did not ask me not to contest the polls, but suggested a contest from any other constituency. Anything might happen in the last moment. I will wait.”</p>.<p>“I am touring the constituency to seek the opinion of Ambareesh’s fans and voters. Wherever I go, people are insisting that I contest. I should respect their feelings. If I contest, actor Darshan will campaign for me. All artistes in the film industry will support me,” she said.</p>.<p>Meanwhile, an online registration campaign ‘Ambi Amara’ has been launched, on behalf of Sumalatha. Volunteers can enrol along with their mobile number and voter id number.</p>
