<p> Speaking to reporters in Bangalore on Tuesday, he said that officials have been directed to strengthen the sheds where flood-hit victims are residing at present, in case the construction of houses cannot be completed before the onset of monsoon. <br /><br />He has also directed deputy commissioners to update him with latest information about the progress in construction through video recording. <br /><br />On Tuesday, the government entered into an MoU with an organisation named Govind Prasad Humanitarian Foundation (GPHF) to construct over 6,000 houses for the flood-ravaged people.<br /><br />The houses will be constructed under the ‘Aasare’ housing scheme launched by the government at a cost of Rs 75 crore in Belgaum, Koppal, Bagalkot and Davangere.<br />Revenue Secretary K S Prabhakar and GPHF Chairman Govind Prasad signed the MoU in the presence of chief minister and Revenue Minister Karunakara Reddy.</p>
