Joshi, Advani denied ticket due to age: Shettar

Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar has said that the BJP had not given tickets to veterans such as Murli Manohar Joshi and Lal Krishna Advani, considering their age. "However, it is left to the top brass whether or not this criteria applies in state," he added.

Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, Shettar said that though Joshi and Advani have remained out of poll fray, they still continue to be the great leaders for the party.
