<p>A flood victim committed suicide by hanging himself at his sister’s house in Kadandalu under Kedakal gram panchayat limit in Somwarpet taluk on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The deceased is identified as Narayana Naika (60), also a resident of Kadandalu. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Naika’s house had collapsed following flash floods. His family was residing at the relief centre at Valmiki Bhavan in Kushalnagar.</p>.<p class="bodytext">On November 17, Naika visited his sister Meenakshi’s house and committed suicide when other members of the house had gone to work, police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The exact reason for Naika taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, they added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">A case has been registered by Suntikoppa police station.</p>
