The three-day camp which has 45 students kicked off on Tuesday. Speaking to Deccan Herald, Centre Principal Severine Rosario said that experts from the field are invited to train students in practical science.

“We have organised a practical physics class on the first day.” Retired ISRO scientist Dr Sujatha Virdhe and her brother Suyash Dake, an IT professional who opted for profession of propagating science through experiments are training students in practical physics. Children are made to do experiments and models, she said.

St Agnes Professor of Chemistry Professor Jayanth and St Aloysius High School Biology teacher G K Bhat will train students in Chemistry and Biology respectively, he said.

“The first day of the camp has been pretty exciting. We learnt to make a Direct Current Motor using a battery,” says Prajwal, a student of St Theresa School.
