Naturopathy care revs up Siddaramaiah, ex-CM loses 3 kg

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah waves at the crowd at Dharmasthala on Thursday.

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, who completed his 12-day rejuvenation treatment at SDM Institute of Naturopathy at Shanthivana in Ujire on Thursday, visited Manjunatha Swamy temple in Dharmasthala and offered prayers to the presiding deity.

He had arrived at the institute on June 16. He left the premises at around 11 am on Thursday. Former minister K Abhaychandra Jain and MLC Ivan D’Souza were present.

The media personnel, who were waiting to speak to Siddaramaiah before and after the darshan at the temple, were disappointed as he refused to speak to them.

He then proceeded to the newly constructed ‘Kanaka Bhavana’ at Shanthinagar near Kavoor in Mangaluru and spent some time with the members of Kuruba Sangha.

Though media persons tried to speak to him, Siddaramaiah only said he would call media persons if he had to say something. To a query on Kaginele seer’s statement favouring him, Siddaramaiah said he was not aware what the seer said. He left for Bengaluru from the Mangaluru International Airport in the 7.30 pm flight.

Dr Prashanth Shetty, naturopathy head at Shanthivana, said Siddaramaiah responded well to all types of treatment and that this was the third time he was taking treatment in the hospital. He said Siddaramaiah lost three kgs in 12 days.

To a query, he said no inmate was disturbed or faced inconvenience due to the frequent visitors to Siddaramaiah.
