Krishna sore as BJP neglects his supporters

Former chief minister and senior BJP leader S M Krishna is disappointed over the party high command for issuing party tickets to new faces, who are not in active politics, according to his supporters.

It is said that Krishna had suggested the name of Zilla Panchayat member N Shivanna for Mandya. Shivanna had quit JD(S) and joined the BJP recently. But, according to the list announced on Friday, the name of former MUDA chairman B Basavegowda, who is not in active politics, has been given the ticket, who had not even applied for it.

Similarly in Maddur, taluk BJP president Lakshman Kumar was expecting the ticket, but Sathish, a new person, has been nominated.

BJP state in-charge Muralidhar Rao and Union Minister Prakash Javedakar held discussions with Krishna recently and had assured of giving tickets to those referred by him. But, the names suggested by Krishna have been dropped, which has upset him, it is said.
