Mandya girl is 2nd runners-up in beauty pageant

Sneha Gowda of Mandya became the second runners-up of the prestigious ‘Miss Elegant Asia Pacific’ beauty contest held at Muscat, Oman, on December 14 and 15.

Contestants from 12 countries participated in the competition organised by Zee Event. Sneha successfully cleared several rounds in the pageant to enter the last round. Finally, the names of the runner-ups were announced. While the first runner-up was Sushmitha of Bengaluru, Sneha was announced the second runners-up.

Sneha is the daughter of N S Bettegowda and Geetha, residents of Shankaranagar. She won the Miss Karnataka title in the beauty contest held in August. She was the runners-up of the Miss India Elegant contest held in November. She has been into modelling for two years.

Speaking to DH, Sneha said, “I have gained a lot of self-confidence after contesting in the pageant in Muscat. With the blessings of my parents and the people of Mandya, I will represent the state on bigger platforms.”
