'BLOs will distribute voter slips to all houses'

A team of officials, led by Deputy Commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, visited houses near Mission Compound and Ammanni Ramanna Hall to issue voter slips containing photograph to the eligible voters.

Korlapati, while issuing voters slips, told the people about the date of polling and urged them to exercise their franchise. “If the voters do not have EPIC card, they can either produce a voter slip or any one of the 11 documents identified by the Election Commission to exercise franchise.

The deputy commissioner also informed about the VVPAT. After visiting the house of a 97-year-old woman, Korlapati directed the officials to make arrangements to escort her to the polling booth and also to help her cast the vote.

The voter slips will be distributed to all the houses by the booth-level officers (BLOs) shortly.
