Last Updated 21 April 2019, 17:19 IST

Kasargod Lok Sabha Constituency BJP candidate Ravish Tantri Kuntaru has alleged that he was assaulted by CPM and DYFI workers.

A complaint was registered at Ambalathara Police Station.

Kuntaru along with NDA workers had taken part in a public campaign near Kanhangad. Before the start of NDA candidate’s campaign, the CPM had launched its campaign using two publicity vehicles. The CPM workers allegedly objected to the campaign and later forcibly seized the microphone from Ravish Tantri and assaulted him.

When BJP District Secretary A Velayudhan, Mandala President M Madhu and Krishika Morcha President E Krishnan tried to intervene, they too were assaulted. Photographer Shravan, who was clicking photos, was also assaulted.
