In some cases, huge hailstones fell on cement roofsheets, which were broken to pieces. Scared residents ran out of the houses, along with their children. Electricity poles were uprooted, leading to power disruption. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Incidents of rooftops being blown away were reported from elsewhere in the district too. Roads were flooded due to overflowing drains in Gadag city.</p>.<p class="bodytext">More than 40 electricity poles were uprooted due to strong winds and hailstorms in villages of Hosapete taluk, Ballari district. Tanks have been filled in these villages.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Agriculture fields were inundated with rainwater in many places due to rain and thunderstorms in Davangere district.
