Ramesh's exit from Congress expected: Shivashankarappa

Davanagere MLA Shamanur Shivashankarappa said that coalition government will not be hurt if any MLAs quit the coalition, here on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters after voting at IMA Hall in the city, he said that Ramesh's exit from the party was expected as Congress leaders already knew about his intentions.

To a question on co-ordination committee chairman Siddaramaiah's remarks that he would be elected CM again, he said that anybody was free to claim that he would become the CM. "Even I can say that," he said.

The situation in Davanagere is different than it was during previous elections considering the voting percentage. "Congress candidate will definitely win in Davanagere. Coalition candidates will win more than 20 seats," he said.
