Siddaganga Mutt seer Shivakumara Swami was on Thursday night shifted to Siddaganga Hospital on B H Road in the town.
He was being treated at the Mutt premises in the last few days for infection. The decision to shift him to the hospital was taken to prevent inconvenience in providing the treatment due to visits of dignitaries. The move also aims at preventing further infection.
Doctors attending the 111-year-old seer clarified that the seer was healthy.
