CD woman: A 28-day wild goose chase for police
Despite Karnataka police putting entire resources to trace the lady, allegedly found in the CD, for nearly a month, she succeeded in hoodwinking the investigating officers.
Ever since the sex scandal came in public on March 2, the Bengaluru City police including Special Investigative Team had virtually fanned out teams of police officers in almost all parts of the country, but they failed it, till she landed in Bengaluru international airport to reach court on Tuesday.
Police found the woman and her accomplices' mobiles location starting with Goa, followed by Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Gwalior, Bhopal, Jaipur, Ajmer, Ghaziabad and Chandigarh.
"The lady used to switch on the mobile phone only once or twice a day. When police got her mobile location, the team rushed to the spot. By the time the team reached the spot, she would have left the place. After a few hours, the mobile location showed a different place. When the team was dispatched to that location, the lady would have shifted to another place," said a police officer.
"The police team used to take a minimum of six to eight hours to reach the destination where her last location was found. By that time we reached the location, she would have gone to another place," the police officer said.

It was also found that to mislead the police, she used to switch on mobile just before shifting to another place from where she was staying, said the officer.
“Taking the case as a challenge, the police put the entire system in active both technical and man power to trace the lady's location, but our efforts went in vain,” said the officer.
It was found that during her stay in north India, she was staying in fairly good hotels used to travel in car and by air.
