Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara asserted on Tuesday that the JD(S)-Congress coalition government would complete its five-year term.

Parameshwara said he was saying this in the capacity as the KPCC president.

This reply of his was a little curt to a query by reporters as to why former chief minister Siddaramaiah was not showing the same enthusiasm as he did at the time of government formation. “My answer is the same even if you ask me the question several times. However, one cannot say what happens when in politics,” he said.

He said he would hold discussions with the chief minister over appointing district incharge ministers.

Traffic on national highway-4 was affected when Parameshwara’s cavalcade passed by. An ambulance was stuck for 10 minutes and the police made way for it later.
