The authorities of MCC are in Delhi to receive the award. As many as 4,237 urban local bodies, across the country, had participated in Swachh Survekshan.</p>.<p>Mysuru, which had won the Cleanest City award twice in 2015 and 2016, had to be content with the best ‘Cleanest Medium City’ (for a population between three lakh and ten lakh) award, last year. It had slipped to the eighth spot in 2017 and 2018.</p>.<p>In addition to the city, Periyapatna, T Narsipur and Krishnarajanagar local bodies have been nominated for the awards.</p>
