Another building

As a large number of patients visit Wenlock Hospital, the Lokayukta sought details on the measures taken to construct new buildings. The Wenlock Hospital Superintendent Dr Rajeshwari Devi said that the work on 300-bed capacity building is in progress and would be completed by November.

He said the doctors and the staff at Wenlock Hospital are rendering good service. “The hospital has good facilities, but there is need for more facilities as a large number of patients visit the hospital. I have directed hospital authorities to submit a detailed report to the government on the requirement of the hospital,” he said.

At Lady Goschen

The Lokayukta visited all the wards a the Lady Goschen Hospital.

When he saw puerperal women sleeping on the corridors of the hospital, he asked why there was delay in inaugurating the new building.
