After Zomato, Nothing co-founder Carl Pei invites applications for Chief of Staff in India

The successful candidate will work under Carl Pei for 18 months in London to learn the ropes and after the training, they will be redeployed to respective locations

Taking a leaf out of Zomata co-founder Deepinder Goyal's playbook, Nothing Inc. co-founder Carl Pei has announced to hire two Chief of Staff to run the company in the US and in India.

Carl Pei is seeking applications from talented people. They will work under him for 18 months in London to learn the ropes and after the training, they will be redeployed to respective locations to help accelarate things at Nothing Inc. in India and the US, respectively.

"For India, I am looking for Someone with a top university plus top-tier investment banking backgroung to put on the general management track," said Carl Pei.

Like other premium brands Samsung and Apple, Nothing Inc sees India as a very important market and a growth engine for their revenue.

India is the fastest-growing smartphone market and also the second biggest after China.

As per the latest Counterpoint Research’s India Smartphone tracker, Nothing recorded an impressive 577 per cent year-over-year growth in India’s smartphone market in 2024. It was driven by strong demand for the Phone (2a) Series and its sub-brand CMF's Phone 1.

Currently, Vishal Bhola heads the Nothing Inc's Indian arm.

Last week Nothing launched the Phone (3a) series in India. It comes in two variants-- Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro-- with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. They come with almost same hardware, but differ in terms of camera and design langauge.

Both the devices feature a see-through design language, but the rear-side camera alignment is slightly different.

The regular Phone (3a) comes in three colours-- black, blue and white. It will be available in two variants--8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively.

The top-end Phone (3a) Pro comes in two colours-- black, and grey. It will be available in three variants--8GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 28,999, Rs 31,999 and Rs 33,999, respectively.
