--The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is a 4nm class 64-bit octa-core Kryo silicon. It can clock peak CPU speed up to 3.3GHz. The CPU promises 30 per cent performance improvement and 20 per cent improved power efficiency

--With the latest Adreno GPU, it promises to deliver 25 per cent faster graphics rendering and 25 per cent improved GPU power efficiency, enhanced gaming and streaming

--Snapdragon 8 Gen 3's AI Engine, as noted earlier is the world’s first to support generative AI models with up to 10 billion parameters — on-device.

-- It boasts Qualcomm Hexagon NPU and can deliver 98 per cent faster performance and 40 per cent improved performance-per-watt for sustained AI inferencing.

-- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 comes with Qualcomm Spectra, a Cognitive ISP, which can produce AI-enhanced photos and videos in real-time for exquisite quality in any environment.

-- Also, devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 can support generative AI powered voice activated photo and video editing

-- With the Snapdragon X75 Modem-RF System, smartphones will be able to support up to 10 Gbps download speed and 3.5Gbps upload speed.

-- Smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will support Wi-Fi 7. Thanks to Qualcomm FastConnect 7800, users can experience super-fast 5.8Gbps wireless internet connectivity speed.

-- With Bluetooth 5.4 support, smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be able to have a stable wireless connection with a companion device for up to 800 feet (around 240 metres) and up to 200Mbps data transfer speed

-- With the latest Snapdragon Elite Gaming feature, it allows smartphones to support 240Hz display and deliver 240 FPS ultra-smooth, lag-free immersive experiences. And, more premium phones will be able to deliver 40 per cent better Hardware-Accelerated Ray Tracing with new Global Illumination, powered by Qualcomm's first-in-mobile support for the Unreal Engine 5.2.

-- The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 also features Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite with new Qualcomm® Expanded Personal Area Network Technology (XPAN). It is touted to be the world’s only solution for uninterrupted lossless audio over Wi-Fi. It will come in handy when moving from room to room. And also, ensures the earbuds/headphones connected to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based phone will have ultra-low 48ms latency sound

--The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be seen in upcoming premium phones such as iQOO 12 and Xiaomi 14 series. Later it will be available with OnePlus 12, Realme GT 5 Pro, Vivo X100+, and Oppo Find X7.

Even ASUS, Honor, MEIZU, NIO, Nubia, Redmi, RedMagic, Sony, and ZTE have announced to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in their upcoming premium phones.

Interestingly, Samsung is not in the official list of Qualcomm OEM partners. It looks like the Galaxy S24 series expected to come in early 2024 may not come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but instead feature propreitary Exynos chipset.
