New Apple Store all set to open in North Bengaluru

Earlier this month, during the earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook reiterated that the company will set up four new Apple Stores in India across major metros including Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.

However, the Cupertino-based company didn't reveal location details and when those stores will be opened to the public.

Now, Bangalore real estate (@Bangalorereal1) handle on X has revealed that the Apple Store is coming up in Phoenix Mall of Asia, Bytarayanapura.

Deccan Herald reached out to Apple, but did not respond to the mail.

However, our real estate sources confirmed the Apple Store is indeed coming up at that particular shopping complex in North Bengaluru.

Currently, Apple operates two stores in -- Bandra Kurla Complex (Mumbai) and Saket (Delhi)-- in India. As per the latest reports, both stores are earning anywhere between Rs 22 crore and Rs 25 crore per month. It also runs an online e-commerce website and mobile app to cater to wider customers across the subcontinent.

In Q4 2024, Apple for the first time broke into the top five smartphone brands list in India with a 10 per cent share, as per IDC (International Data Corporation)'s latest Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker report.

In Q1 2025, Apple's market share reportedly grew more than 23 per cent compared to the previous year's same period.

Now, India is Apple's fourth biggest market after China, the United States of America and Japan.

In recent years, Apple is doubling down on investments in India. Its supply partners Tata Group and Foxconn have set up multiple iPhone assembly plants in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Under Project Elephant, Foxconn is all set to open the 300-acre factory unit which also accommodates housing complexes for workers in Doddaballapur, near Kempegowda International Airport.

Due to the US-China trade conflict, Apple to avoid adverse import duty taxes, will be shipping all America-bound iPhones from Indian factories by June.
