Samsung Watches, Buds earphones to get Gemini AI support soon

Gemini AI support is expected to released first to Pixel Watch 3 and later to third-party OEM devices.

During 'The Android Show' event, Google announced that the generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) Gemini feature, which has been available only on smartphones, will finally come to more product categories including the smart wearables and automobiles.

Besides Google Pixel Watches, Gemini AI will be made available to Samsung's select Galaxy Watches and Buds series earphones with a software update soon.

On Samsung Galaxy Watches, users can ask Gemini for all their queries just by lifting the wrist. There is no requirement to remember any particular command phrase to get a task done. Users can speak naturally to Gemini AI similar to how two individuals speak to each other.

Users can also ask Gemini to summarise a new email notification. The user has to ask -- 'Gemini, summarize my last email' for a quick overview.

And, on Galaxy Buds earphones, users can use just their voice or pinch and hold gestures on the stem, to trigger the Gemini AI assistant.

Users can smoothly interact with Gemini. For instance, he/she can just say 'Hey Gemini, How's the weather?' or 'Hey Gemini, give me the traffic update', before heading out for work. It will offer real-time information. With such convenience, users never have to reach for the phone for such queries in future.

Gemini AI can understand complex questions and be able to deliver apt answers.

Also, Gemini AI supports more than 40 international languages including Hindi in India.

Gemini AI support for the Galaxy Watches and Buds will be coming with the WearOS 6 OS update in the coming months, probably before the end of July. It should be noted WearOS 5 was rolled out in July 2024.
