Trump directs FAA to assess damage from diversity policies

Washington: President Donald Trump on Thursday signed a second presidential memorandum directing the Federal Aviation Administration to assess damage from diversity policies and ensure competence in hiring.

Earlier in the day, the president suggested without evidence that the deadly midair collision of two aircrafts in Washington Wednesday night was the result of the FAA's efforts to hire a more diverse and equitable workforce.
