No MLA dares to defect: G T Deve Gowda

Higher Education Minister G T Deve Gowda, on Wednesday, said that none of the present MLAs, are daring enough to quit their parties because they fear not getting re-elected later.

Clarifying that the Congress- JD(S) coalition government would complete its term, Deve Gowda said: "In the present scenario, no MLA is daring enough to switch parties after resigning from his current MLA post. They must stick to their parties now, or face the wrath of people in the re-election. It's not easy to fool people whose mandate they enjoy now. There will be some drama, but the coalition government will remain".

Gowda also claimed that the coalition government had fulfilled many promises made during the Assembly polls.

"Ministers and MLAs of both coalition parties, share a good rapport. Many Congress MLAs have appreciated Chief Minister Kumaraswamy for the smooth functioning of the government. People will surely punish anyone who tries to destabilise this peoples' government, " Gowda added.
