10 injured in collision of buses

At least 10 passengers suffered injuries in a head-on collision between two buses on National Highway near Trasi Beach on Thursday night. 

Ganesh Travels, the bus, was travelling to Kalburgi from Mangaluru while Sri Durgamba was travelling from Bhatkal to Kundapura when the accident occurred.

The injured are Vishwanath Devadiga, Vinod S Mogaveera, Kashinath, Muthuraj, Chandra, Mallikarjuna, Suresh Poojary, Uday, Akash and Maruthi. The injured are recuperating in a private hospital in Kundapur. 

The front portion of both the buses has been damaged. Following the accident, the traffic was disrupted for some time. Later, the police rushed to the spot and allowed the movement of vehicles from one side. 

Rash driving caused the accident, said the passengers.
