<p class="title">Action plans had been chalked out to distribute sites and construct houses for members of SC/ST communities leading a nomadic lifestyle, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil said. </p>.<p class="title">Chairing a review meeting here on Saturday, he said a taluk-level meeting should be convened to listen to the woes of SC/ST community members in the taluk in the month of January.</p>.<p class="title">He also promised to attend the meeting. </p>.<p class="CrossHead">Skill training</p>.<p class="title">He said that it has been proposed to impart skill training to the educated unemployed youth from the community. A special drive will be carried out pertaining to housing and employment. </p>.<p class="title">Assistant Commissioner Ravichandra Nayak said tahsildars had been directed to identify government land for sites and houses of the SC/ST community members. The earmarking of the land is in progress. </p>.<p class="title">ITDP Officer Hemalatha said that 814 nomadic families have been identified in the district. Measures have been taken up to carry out a survey on education and health standard of the Koraga community members.</p>.<p class="title">The DC also directed social welfare officer to initiate measures to fulfil the demands of Karmika Bhavana in the district.</p>
