Currently working with Chiranjeevi Sarja for a Kannada flick, Varadanayaka, a remake of Lakshyam starring Gopichand and Anushka,  Nikesha says that her role in Varadanayaka reminds her of her college days. “We have been shooting on the campus of Acharya Institute. Shooting in a college environment brings back my college days to my mind. Sudeep also has an interesting role in the movie and we are having a blast on the set,” she says.

Her debut film in Kannada Narasimha with Ravichandran is still in the can and the actress is keen on completing another project in Sandalwood this year. “Offers are pouring in. But, I want to strike the right deal. If I get a good banner with the right hero and director, I am more than willing to work again in Kannada.”

Nikesha is having talks with a few Telugu film-makers and hopeful of announcing a couple of projects soon. Her Tamil projects are also shaping up quite well. “I had a fantastic journey so far in the southern industry. These days, Bollywood has been taking ideas from the South. A lot of Telugu and Tamil films are being remade in Hindi. I have a lot to learn from the technicians and writers here. Hence, I am not so desperate for a Bollywood project unless I get a very attractive one,” she confirms.

Given a chance, Nikesha likes to work with Puneeth, Sudeep and Upendra in Kannada. She is very enthusiastic to pair up with Pawan Kalyan once again. And her most cherished dream is to act alongside Dev Anand. “I am a fan of Dev Anandji. Sharing screen space with him is my biggest dream ever,” she gushes.

A trained Kathak dancer, Nikesha wants to explore varied roles as an actress. She doesn’t want to shift her focus from acting nowhere in the future. “Acting is all that I love to pursue. I will never change my profession,” Nikesha asserts.

Diet is one thing Nikesha always tries to stay away from. “I have never been on a diet. I eat a lot and even don’t mind relishing junk food. Though I visit a gym, it is mostly for the fun of it. I am a family girl and spend most of my free time at home watching television and reading books. I am glad that though I am from London, people in the South have accepted me as an actress and have given me a space in their hearts. I want to entertain them with good films as long as I can.”
