There is a new lover boy in the town. After doing out-and-out action films like Vaayuputra and Gandhede, Chiranjeevi Sarja will be seen in a lover boy’s role in his latest film Chiru, directed by Mahesh Babu of Mussanje Maatu fame.

Chiranjeevi explains, for someone like him, who has been fighting the bad guys till now, this role will be a challenge as he has to mellow down a lot.  “Falling in love is an art by itself. It’s going to be a different feeling loving somebody from the beginning till the end of the film,” says Chiranjeevi.

So has he ever fallen in love in real life? “No, I haven’t been that lucky yet,” he says and adds, “but I hope my acting skills will help me convince the audiences that I have loved doing this film.”  The movie also stars Telugu actress Krithi Kharvanda who will be debuting in Sandalwood. The shooting has already begun in the City and the cast and crew will soon move to Ooty.

“The first day of the shoot was a lot of fun as we went to NICE Road and shot there,” he adds.  Interestingly with this movie Chiranjeevi will join the bandwagon of actors who have films titled after them. “Actually, the title of the film has been named after me coincidentally. A lot of my friends call me Chiru and my director really liked the idea of calling the character with the same name and it stuck on for the film title as well,” he explains.

Chiranjeevi feels that it has only brought an added responsibility for him. “I have to live upto the name. Moreover, since the entire movie lies on the hero’s shoulders, my
responsibility is more,” he says.
