In December 2024, Xiaomi, Vivo, iQOO, Motorola and others launched new handsets including Redmi A14, X200 series, iQOO 13, Redmi Note 14 series, Moto G35 5G and more.

OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, Poco and Samsung are expected to kick off the new year 2025 with all-new phones in a wide range of price bands worldwide and in India in January.

Xiaomi Redmi 14C 5G

Xiaomi is slated to launch the company's new budget phone Redmi 14C 5G. It sports a 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and TÜV Rheinland certification.

It will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, Android 14-based HyperOS, 4GB/ 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 5,160mAh battery with an 18W charger.

It features a 6.82-inch 2K+(3168×1440p) LTPO AMOLED display with a dynamic 1-120Hz refresh rate, supports up to 4500 nits' peak brightness and comes with Crystal Shield super ceramic glass protection and IP68/69 water-and-dust resistant rating.

It also features dual-SIM slots, a type-c port, an infrared sensor and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The device houses Qualcomm's 4nm class 4.32GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 900MHz Adreno 830 GPU, Android 15-based OxygenOS 15, 12GB / 16GB / 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB / 512GB / 1TB (UFS 4.0) storage and a big 6000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

It also boasts Hasselblad camera system--main 50MP (1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808 sensor, f/1.6 aperture, OIS: Optical Image Stabilisation) + 50MP 114 degree ultra-wide camera (with 1/1.27-inch Samsung JN1 sensor, f/2.2, 3.5cm macro) + 50MP periscope telephoto camera (with 1/1.95-inch LYT600 sensor, f/2.6, OIS, 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, up to 120x digital zoom) with LED flash. It can record up to 8K videos.

On the front, it features a 32MP camera (with Sony IMX615 sensor, ƒ/2.4). It can record 4K video at 30 fps (frames per second)

OnePlus 13R

Besides OnePlus, the company is also bringing a low-end model OnePlus 13R.

It is expected to come with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Inside, it is said to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, Android 15-based ColorOS (in global markets, it will have OxygenOS 15) up to 16GB RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage and a massive 6,000mAh battery.

It also features a Hasselblad camera system-based triple camera module--main 50MP sensor with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor with LED flash. On the front, it is expected to come with a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling.

Oppo Reno13 series

The company is expected to launch the new Reno13 series in the second week of January 2025. Oppo will offer two variants-- a standard Reno13 and a top-end Reno13 Pro.

The regular Reno13 is said to come with a 6.59-inch full HD+ display, a dual-camera module-- 50MP+8MP - with LED flash on the back, a 50MP front camera, 256GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charger.

Whereas the Reno 13 Pro is expected to feature a bigger 6.83-inch AMOLED, 120Hz, 50MP front camera, triple-camera module-50MP+50MP+8MP- with LED flash, up to 16GB RAM, 256GB (base model), and a massive 5,800mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capability.

Both the devices are said to come with Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.

Poco X7 series

Xiaomi subsidiary Poco is said to launch the new X7 series on January 9. It is said to come in two variants-- X7 and X7 Pro.

The Poco X7 is said to come with a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, triple camera module--50MP+8MP-- with LED flash on the back, 20MP front camera, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, Android 15-based HyperOS 2, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage and 5110mAh battery with 45W charger.

The top-end Poco X7 Pro is expected to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, triple camera module--50MP+8MP+2MP-- with LED flash on the back, 20MP front camera, MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor, Android 15-based HyperOS 2, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage and a 6000mAh battery with 90W charger.

Samsung Galaxy S25 series

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 series successor in late January.

The company is rumoured to offer the new device in four variants-- Galaxy S24, S25 Plus, S25 Slim and S25 Ultra.

The Galaxy S25 Slim is the first of its kind in the Galaxy S series. The latter will come with a super thin frame. It is said to feature a 6.66-inch screen and will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 4,700mAh battery.

It also features a triple camera module-- main 200MP+ 50MP ultrawide sensor + 50 MP telephoto lens-- with LED flash on the back.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is said to feature a 6.88-inch QHD+ (3120×1440p) Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage and a 5,000mAh battery.

It will also come with ta triple-camera module-- a 200MP main sensor with a 12MP telephone lens and a 50MP camera--with LED flash.

The Galaxy S24 Plus will come with the same features as the S24 Slim but differ in terms of battery capacity and camera.

The low-end Galaxy S24 is said come with a small 6.2-inch dynamic super AMOLED display, triple-camera module-- 50MP+12MP+10MP-- LED flash on the back, 12MP front camera, Android 15-based One Ui 7.0, 12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, Exynos chipset (for international market)/Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (in US/Canada/China) and a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charger.
