<p>The Aam Aadmi Party Purvanchal wing’s district president’s mutilated body was found in the bushes near his house in outer Delhi’s Rohini on Monday.<br /><br />After an initial probe, police suspect it be a case of a hate crime or an attack over extramarital affair.<br /><br />Dhirendra’s body was found with several injury marks inflicted using sharp weapon, including on his private parts. The 32-year-old lived with his family at Begum Vihar near Rohini Sector 33.<br /><br />“It appears that dogs had fed upon the body after it was dumped,” said Vikramjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer).<br /><br />Dhirendra’s family had also approached police after he did not return home on Sunday. A search was conducted after his mobile phone was also found switched off.<br /><br />On Monday morning, the body was found less than a kilometre away from his house. Since Dhirendra was brutally attacked, police do not suspect it to be a case of robbery gone wrong.<br /><br />“We cannot comment on how active he was in politics or if the murder is related to his political career,” Singh added.<br /><br />Dhirendra earlier lived in Rohini Sector 24 and had shifted to the house in Begum Vihar around 15 days ago. He is survived by his wife and a two-year-old son. Police have questioned his wife and elder brother.</p>.<p><br />Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted his condolences and visited Dhirendra’s family on Monday.<br /><br />AAP’s Delhi unit convenor Dilip Pandey said the party expects quick action from Delhi Police to nab the murderers.<br /><br />“Sad day for all of us, for humanity. One of our great volunteers murdered brutally last night. God gives strength to his family. RIP,” Pandey tweeted.</p>
