Infant killed, parents hurt as DTC bus rams into bike

A two-year-old boy travelling on a motorcycle with his parents in east Delhi was killed after a DTC bus rammed into it on Wednesday. His parents too suffered injuries, but their condition is said to be out of danger, police said.

The accused bus driver was caught by people and handed over to police.
Anshuman lived with his parents in Amar Colony’s Meet Nagar. His father worked with a private company.

The victim and his parents were headed to a relative’s home in east Delhi when the accident took place in Welcome area around 10 am. A DTC bus allegedly hit the motorcycle from behind on GT Road.

The boy fell off his mother’s arms on the road. His parents too fell, but they escaped serious injuries as both were wearing helmets, said police.

The bus driver was forced to stop his vehicle soon after the accident and police were informed.

The three injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where Anshuman was declared brought dead. He had suffered injuries on the head. His parents are still admitted at the hospital.
