<p>Armed miscreants on Saturday hijacked at gunpoint a truck laden with 16 tonnes of pulses on NH 31 in Bihar's Nalanda district, reports PTI.</p>.<p>The incident occurred near Rupaspur village when a truck bearing a West Bengal registration number was on its way to Kolkata from Patna.</p>.<p>The miscreants came in a vehicle and stopped it, Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nishit Priya said.</p>.<p>The miscreants beat up the driver of the truck severely, tied his hands and later threw him out near another village before driving away the truck, the SDPO said.</p>.<p>The truck driver managed to inform the police, the SDPO said, adding that searches are on to nab the culprits.</p>
