The all-new Spark sets a new benchmark for its segment through its modern design, clever space utilisation, affordability and engineering. It has added the convenience of the first-of-its-kind Chevrolet Promise Cost of Ownership Programme.

Mature and Bold Exterior

The all-new Spark has a more mature and bold exterior. The twin-port grille, a signature Chevrolet design cue, gives it a premium hatchback look from the front. The styling has been enhanced with stylish new clear lens “quotation” headlamps; chrome accents on the grille, which features new graphic patterns; sporty fog lamps with trendy bezels surrounded by chrome; dual-tone front and rear bumpers that give the small car an energetic look; and stylish rear reflectors that provide even greater safety.
The new Spark will be available in six colours; Velvet Red, Caviar Black, Linen Beige, Sandrift Grey, Summit White and Misty Lake.

The bold exterior is complemented by a ground-breaking interior that is highlighted by a completely redesigned cockpit with a local flair. The primary colour, Dark Urban, flows from the dashboard and encircles occupants. Light urban colours in doors and seats create a sense of harmony. The all-new Spark’s premium upholstery is trendy, taking inspiration from Indian culture. The new door pad design has an upmarket look.

Positioned at the centre of the dashboard and easily visible to all occupants are a “wing-inspired” speedometer and instruments, which feature a combination of analogue and digital displays that lend a modern feeling to the interior.

Thanks to its intelligent packaging and 2,345-mm wheelbase, the five-seater offers a comparatively large amount of space and a feeling of roominess. Like its predecessors, the all-new Spark has a generous assortment of smart storage spaces.

The new Spark is powered by an economical yet powerful S-Tec engine, which was developed exclusively for the nameplate. The four-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine delivers peak power of 63 PS @ 5,400 rpm and peak torque of 90.3 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. Power and torque are maximised at lower speeds, making the all-new Spark ideal for commuting both in congested cities and on open highways.

The engine includes many innovations such as Sequential MPFI, a Dual Distributor-Less Ignition System (DDLI), a Motorised Throttle Intake System (MTIS) and an Advanced Optical Sensor. This ensures smooth, noiseless, efficient, powerful, reliable and low-maintenance operation.

The all-new Spark LPG variants come with a next-generation sequential injection-type LPG kit. It offers several advantages, including no engine backfiring while changing to LPG mode or back to petrol for a smoother ride, good fuel economy, low running cost, better power and pick-up, and lower emissions compared to the competition.

Safety Focus

The new Spark carries forward the nameplate’s focus on safety. 51 per cent of the total weight of the Spark’s body shell consists of high-strength steel, providing great rigidity and stability while lowering weight. Precisely defined load paths with energy-absorbing profiles protect passengers in the event of a head-on or rear-end collision.

Optimised links between the B-Pillar and sills provide side impact protection. The B-Pillar is made of tailor-welded blanks with two steel sheets of different thicknesses, reducing the chance of the B-Pillar’s intrusion into the passenger compartment during an accident.
The new Chevrolet Spark is priced between Rs 3,26,365-Rs 381,365 for petrol and Rs 3,81,665-Rs 4,10,465 for LPG (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
