Bajaj Allianz General Insurance (BAGIC) has reappointed Tapan Singhel as managing director and chief executive officer for a further period of five years, with effect from April 1, 2017.
Under the aegis of Tapan Singhel, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance emerged as the most profitable private general insurance player in the financial year 2015-16 with a net profit of Rs 564 crore and recorded the highest profit amongst all companies in the industry in the nine months ending December 31, 2016, the general insurer said.
