Engineering exports dip 22 per cent in May '09

Although the magnitude of decline in engineering exports has been arrested during May, exporters are not hopeful of recovery in demand  in the coming months.

According to the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), exports were down 26 per cent in April 2009.
“The decline (in engineering exports) has reduced” to some extent, EEPC Chairman Aman Chadha told PTI.
