Briefing reporters here Director (sales and marketing) Ravi Menon said both crop solutions and irrigation products would help farmers to enhance their productivity.
Further, he added that the company is planning to train farmers in association with agriculture universities as well as NGOs to increase productivity by using latest technology he said. The Company said it expects its tractor sales in the country to grow by over seven per cent in 2009-10 following growing demand.
The company has sold 25,000 tractors in the country in the 2008-09 fiscal (November to October). “The tractor industry is growing at around seven per cent in India and we expect our sales to grow above the industry figure this year,” he said.
Export of tractors, he said has however declined this fiscal due to the global economic recession and figures are unlikely to rise this year.
