Nilekani led board disappointing, whistleblower tells market regulator

The current board of Infosys led by Nandan Nilekani has failed to uphold highest standards of corporate governance at the company, an anonymous whistleblower alleged on Wednesday.

In a fresh letter sent to market regulator Sebi and US SEC, the whistleblower termed actions of the current board are "disappointing".

Nilekani, who is currently the chairman of the IT major, has "forgotten core values of Infosys", the letter said.

"I think, the current board led by Nandan Nilekani is a huge disappointment. He had forgotten the core principles of Infosys and failed to uphold the highest traditions of corporate governance practised by Infosys earlier. He is conniving with the current board to quietly bury all the wrong doings of the earlier board. In doing this he is clearly short changing the investors of Infosys," the letter accessed by DH said.

The whistleblower also alleged the IT major of the cover up in former CFO Rajiv Bansal's severance pay. "While the board of Infosys consistently took a public view that no wrong doing had happened, they had taken several steps to undo and cover up their steps," the letter said.

The letter also questioned various moves of the board, including sale of Panaya and Skava.
